Promise of Home warmly invites you to attend Bridging in Diversity: Promise of Home’s Policy Conference, taking place on Friday, November 21st, and Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at St. Thomas University. This cornerstone event brings together community members, policymakers, and advocates to discuss and advance inclusive policies that support belonging, equity, and anti-racism in Fredericton.

Promise of Home is a community-based narrative research project exploring newcomer experiences of belonging in Fredericton. Now entering its fourth and final phase, the project has translated stories and community feedback into concrete policy recommendations designed to make Fredericton a more welcoming and inclusive city for all.

The Policy Conference will launch and explore these key recommendations, developed through a human rights-based and anti-racist analytical framework. The event emphasizes community education and the shared responsibility to address discrimination and foster belonging.
